Is Core really free forever?
Yes. Graxeon Core is MIT-licensed open source software. You can self-host it for free with no
seat limits, no time limits, and no feature caps. We make money on the Team and Enterprise
cloud plans, not by limiting the open source tier.
What's the difference between Studio and Explorer?
Studio is the full authoring environment — you create schemas, add items, upload files, and
manage collections. Explorer is the browsing and sharing interface — team members can view,
search, and (if invited as editors) update items without needing full Studio access.
What is the KGL format?
KGL (Knowledge Graph Language) is a plain text file format for storing structured knowledge
graphs. Files are human-readable, diff cleanly in git, and can be edited with any text editor.
See the
KGL format reference for the full spec.
Can I migrate from the Team plan back to self-hosted Core?
Absolutely. Your data is always stored in KGL files and you can export them at any time.
There is no proprietary format or lock-in. Spin up Core locally, import your KGL files, and
you're done.
How does the Team plan trial work?
The 14-day free trial gives you full access to the Team plan with no credit card required.
At the end of the trial you can choose to subscribe or export your data and move to self-hosted Core.
